On June 7th, the partners of FORWARD Fashion, Crafts and Design for Women Empowerment reunited for the first time in Florence for an official kick-off meeting. At Flo Concept’s headquarters, the different teams discussed together the project’s main structure and focal points, defining individual and common goals and expected results.
This was an opportunity for the coordinators of DFFWAC, FLO CONCEPT and TON to meet in person and discuss matters related to adult education, female employment and the consequent role of culture across the three different countries. It was also the ideal setting for each member to present their organisation, as a way to introduce their ethos, current and past projects, as well as experience in conceiving training programmes and working in the area of crafts, fashion and design.
With monthly online meetings to discuss ongoing challenges and developments and to assess each organisation’s progress, the partners of FORWARD will meet again in person for the final presentation that will take place in Lisbon in June 2023.
